Obama proposes greenhouse gas solution that will hurt middle and lower class

Democrat Barack Obama is calling for sharply reducing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and forcing power companies and other businesses to pay for all of their pollution.

He said Monday that he would get results, unlike those whom he said are bound by the unwritten rules and timidity of Washington politics.

"Our energy problem has become an energy crisis because no matter how well-intentioned the promise, no matter how bold the proposal, they all fall victim to the same Washington politics," Obama said.

"As president, I will set a hard cap on all carbon emissions at a level that scientists say is necessary to curb global warming, an 80 percent reduction by 2050," he said.

Well, at least Barry tries to tell you that his bold proposal and well-intentioned promise is doomed to fail.

Obama tanks on greenhouse gases

No business will be allowed to emit any greenhouse gases for free,” Mr. Obama said in Portsmouth, N.H. “Businesses don’t own the sky, the public does, and if we want them to stop polluting it, we have to put a price on all pollution.”

Pffft...
That was a fart. Charge me. I dare ya.

Ron Paul on pace to fall over $2 million short of October fundraising goal

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul had a third quarter of fundraising that drew him a lot of media attention. So far that increased media attention has not translated to more money for his campaign. Ron Paul is on pace to reach less than $2 million of his $4 million October goal.

419 e-mail scammers finally busted

Those pesky 419 scammers finally got busted, at least some of 'em. They are known as the Nigerian e-mail scammers but they can come from anywhere. I would not doubt if some of our politicians were getting money from these cats. They stuck around for awhile and were pervasive in some very suspicious places. Gangsters are known to take money from other gangsters in order to let them stick around for a bit and do some business. Didn't that Jefferson cat have some Nigerian scams going?

Ron Paul brings in $13,000 while I was at dinner

I made a post about 2.5 hours ago noting that Ron Paul donations were going slow so far in the fourth quarter. The pace seemed to quicken just a bit as the total jumped up $13,000 while I was at dinner. That is the kind of activity that will need to happen consistently in order for Ron Paul to meet his $4 million goal for October. If they don't reach a half-million dollars by the end of Sunday I'm going to be disappointed.

Increased media exposure not helping Ron Paul raise money?

I've been watching with interest to see how well Ron Paul raises money in the fourth quarter. I realize it is still early and many of his supporters just gave their all in the final week of last quarter, but they are way behind pace on the $4 million goal for October. They had better pick up the donations while the media and world is watching. As of this writing the total for October is still under $300,000. Where did all the Ron Paul fans go? Is the increased media exposure not helping? Are they all on vacation? What's up?

Ten things to think about while enjoying your next meal

Listed below are ten things to think about while enjoying your next meal.

10. Many thousands of innocent people are sitting in U.S. prisons because other people don't do anything about it. Some would rather ruin many lives than have to even look at someone who is different from them in very minor ways.

9. What do the Earth and Pamela Anderson have in common? Both used to be flat, now they are big and round.

8. If Hillary Clinton gets elected for two terms we'll have had 28 straight years of bush in the oval office.

7. Being high isn't the crime, possession and distribution is. That alone should tell you the profit motivation behind the War on Drugs.

6. If you are a Muslim, Christian or Jew-hater, do you realize that you are a main part the problem?

5. Ever heard of Deism?

4. Prescription pill addiction is the #1 drug problem in the United States of America. Combine that fact with #7 above and double the fun.

3. If you think God is cool, just imagine how cool whatever created God could be.

2. As a youngster, was it your dream to be a wage slave and property of the State when you grew up?

1. I'm just like you, except different.
